Word Merge does not work with
some documents
Cannot find the path
Problem:
When trying to print a Word document, MS Word
launches but can't find the merge fields in the data source.
Solution:
 | Look for any special characters or symbols in
the document other than a normal text or font. Some characters or symbols will
break the flow of the document and can stop the data source fields from merging. |
| Check the shortcut that launches the
Advantage software to make sure it is not using the UNC path |
| Verify that the File location for Word
template and normal.dot file (Tools,
Options, File locations)
is
pointing to X:\EYECARE or X:\EYEMD , where
X represents the mapped drive used to launch the program |
