Word 2007 Requirements

Due to recent changes to Microsoft's XML availability, Compulink is working on a new interface for data merge.  This new interface will utilize Open Document format (ODT) and supports applications such as Word, Open Office and WordPad.   The new interface is currently undergoing the testing phase in the first quarter 2011. 

 

The following version of Microsoft Word can be used for displaying/view  the existing Word mailmerge documents:
bulletMicrosoft Word 97 or higher
bulletCompulink 8.0 or higher

For display/view of new Word DocX documents, the following is required:

bulletMicrosoft Word 97 or higher
bulletif printing with anything less than Word 2007, user will need to install FileFormatConverters.exe from Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=941b3470-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=en.  This is a free patch.
bulletCompulink 9.0 6/07/2007 exe or more recent
bulletPrintHandler version 1.1.0.29 or higher

For creation or editing of new Word DocX documents, the following version is required:

bulletMicrosoft Word 2007
bulletCompulink 9.0 6/07/2007 exe or more recent
bulletPrintHandler version 1.1.0.29 or higher
