 | DO NOT INSTALL THE Strobe XP200 CD
SOFTWARE PROVIDED ON CD. Download the drivers from
http://www.visioneer.com save it on
the desktop and run the XP200.exe to install the latest drivers and software.

 | During the installation process a window will prompt to
connect the Strobe XP200 scanner using USB cable and power adapter provided. |
 | When you see the Connect Scanner window, do NOT click
finish. Leave the window open and proceed to the next section, “connect and
calibrate the scanner”. |

The computer should recognize the USB port
connection and automatically configure its driver and software to run the
scanner properly. A calibration window opens so you can calibrate the scanner.
When the calibration completes successfully remove the calibration paper,
click Finish on the Connect Scanner window and restart your
computer. |

To create a handshake between Strobe XP200
Scanner and Compulink software: |
Search for any file name with extension of .ds
in the windows search utility. (use “*.ds” without the quotation marks
for the file name in the search window.) The path for the “device Specific” file
should usually show as one of the following:

Please enter exactly as it
reflects in your system.
For Win 9X or XP:
C:\WINDOWS\twain_32\StrobeXp\Twain_32.ds
For Win 2K or XP upgrades:
C:\WINNT\twain_32\StrobeXp\Twain_32.ds
Enter the path EXACTLY to the workstation setup
field: (Ins. Card Twain Device and Document Twain Device) in the utility menu
(see below)
