Backups We Can Read in Data Review Department

The following Backup Drives are available at Compulink for data review. Please note, due to the wide range of backup drives and backup software, we cannot guarantee that every media supplied by our clients can be read.

If there is a question about what backup software is being used:

Please consult you system vendor or administrator for the type of tape and software used. Here are a few tips:

If Windows®95/98/NT/2000/XP backups are used, from the backup icon, right click and check Properties.
If Windows®95/98/NT/2000/XP backups are used, use Start->Programs, and check the program name used for backup.
If using Microsoft Backup for Windows®95/98/NT/2000/XP is used, the specified tapes above can be used.
If using our Grid Menu in DOS, highlight the backup option, press <F3> and read the DOS commands.

Iomega ZIP Disks with 100/250mb storage capacity

Compulink will loan Iomega Zip Drive with disk for $75.00. (shipping charges not included)

******IMPORTANT******

We are unable to read Ditto Tools backups, SURE STORE, ARC SERVE or Jaz backups. Also we cannot read backups in novell or linux. Note: PKZip or WINZIP compression is recommended for all data
