Data Review and Acceptable Media

Compulink can perform an analysis of your “Advantage” files and assist with supporting our software via dial-in with WebEx® communications software. WebEx® software enables Compulink’s support staff to connect with your office remotely and via the Internet and troubleshoot any software issues.

In other cases, Compulink data review technicians may request a backup of your software to perform an "in-house" analysis and determine software issues without causing extended down-time for your office.

Compulink’s Customer Care department accepts data sent for review and troubleshooting purposes using any of the following media:

 Important Notes:

Compulink will make every effort to read data supplied on any of the above mentioned media. Due to the wide range of backup drives, backup software and formats, Compulink cannot guarantee that every media supplied by clients can be restored and reviewed.

All data is scanned for malicious software and Trojans prior to review. Infected data will not be restored or reviewed.

Attention: Compulink recommends encrypting patient data prior to shipping.  No cost solutions, such as 7-Zip (www.7-zip.org) or Truecrypt (www.truecrypt.org), are available via the Internet to facilitate data encryption.

In the event that none of the above mentioned media types are available for sending data, Compulink can provide an external hard drive as a loaner. A deposit of $150 is required prior to shipping the loaner drive. (Shipping and handling charges are not included.)
