Access Violation at ACE32.DLL Using a Drive Mapped to an IP Address (HW206)

DESCRIPTION:

With the Advantage Database Server (ADS) running on an NT Server, the client tries to connect via a drive mapped to an IP address. The client receives an "Access Violation at ACE32.DLL" error.

SOLUTION:

Advantage does not currently support connections through drive letters mapped to an IP address. Map a drive using a UNC path and the problem should be resolved.
